- The Howard's Grove
Chapter of Beat the Heat was started in August of 2003. We have
the support of numerous deputies, the Howard's Grove High School
and Northeast Wisconsin Beat the Heat Inc.
- A number of local
community businesses have already come forward with support in
the way of pledged donations and sponsorship.
- Beat the Heat was
originally brought to Wisconsin in 1993 by Brent Muller of the
Brillion Police Department.
- The current departments
which are active in Wisconsin are: Brillion, Clintonville, Oneida,
Neenah, Grand Chute, Seymour, Green Bay, Waupaca, Waupaca Sheriff's
Department, Winniconne, Denmark, Freedom, Outagamie Sheriff's
Department, and New London.
- National Beat the
Heat events are held each year at the Wisconsin International
Raceway.
- There are over 200
Beat the Heat programs throughout the nation.
