.:: What is Beat the Heat? ::.

Beat the Heat is a unique way to reach high school youth. Throughout the school year, sheriff's deputies volunteer their off-duty time to help the kids build a racecar. During the summer, the car is taken to the Wisconsin International Raceway, where the kids race and try to "Beat the Heat." In the time spent together, the deputies will make the kids more aware of the hazards of drugs, alcohol and unsafe driving.
